Polka Doodles Challenge and Blog hop......

This week its going to be a bit different at Polka Doodles - we still have our regular challenge but we also have a blog hop which is also part of the challenge!! And you know what that means - LOADS of candy!!

Our fabulous sponsors Marianne Design are giving you the chance to win this adorable Garden themed Creatable as part of our blog hop!
Creatables are handy stencils that cut and/or emboss. They can be used in many machines, with all kinds of paper. The cut-out and embossed shapes are ideal to make your cards and other creative projects even more beautiful. We also have this lovely cuter than cute Snoesjes stamp, a fabulous 32 page paper pack and we adore this stunning flower ribbon - this candy is just scrumptious!!

CHALLENGE STAGE 1: Now, we know not everyone like to do a hop for whatever reason, so we still have our normal challenge for the week which is EASTER themed - you must make a card or project which is Easter themed.

Oh my how cute is this fab image by Nikky

I have printed my ribbon at bottom of card on Safmat.
Coloured with Promarkers and some pearly doodles
for the bunnies tails!

But that's not all...
CHALLENGE STAGE 2: Our second challenge is the blog hop - if you hop along with us this week you will find that the Easter Bunny has arrived early and left some hidden goodies on some of the Design Teams blogs - but you have to hop though the whole list to find who the Easter Bunny has visited!
You need to complete both the Easter themed challenge and the blog hop to be in with a chance of winning one of the fantastic prizes on offer! You need to go to the challenge blog to see what is on offer but it is fabulous! There will be one grand prize winner and two second place winners!

If you've never taken part in a blog hop before it's easy peasy...all you need to do is visit each blog in turn and for this hop each Polkadoodler will give you a LETTER (be careful - some of the Polkadoodlers may have more than one!) Now add all the letters together, unscramble them and leave a comment on the Polkadoodle Challenge Blog (comments will be moderated!) with what the word is.

Your entry will automatically be judged for the Easter themed challenge BUT we will know if you have completed the Blog Hop so if you haven't you will still only be eligible for the random blog candy hidden amongst some of the Polkadoodlers. FOR THE EASTER THEMED CHALLENGE JUST LEAVE YOUR ENTRY AS NORMAL USING THE INLINKZ BUTTON, WE WILL SORT THROUGH THE ENTRIES AS WE WILL KNOW IF YOU FOLLOWED THE HOP OR NOT! ; )

If you have arrived at my blog from Anne then you are on the right track! The letter you require from me is U- keep it safe and now jump to Doreen. Good luck! If you get stuck, please go back to the Polkadoodle Challenge blog where you will find the full list of Polkadoodlers.

Crafty Creations have a wonderful

from the photo for my project
so I went with

3 the wonderful sponge yummy - ribbon

We are all fairies living under the leaf of a lily!

Daisy has turned 9.
A card for a friends daughters birthday.

The title of my post is the lovely sentiment that
comes with this gorgeous image.

Using beautiful vintage style papers by Prima.

The wonderful image is by
Digi Blessings and I am very
pleased at how well it paper pieced
to create the finished card.

I coloured the cute mouse and fairy with copics,
paper piecing the grass and lilly of the valey.

Prima flowers, punched greenery and butterflies.

Happy Birthday ribbon from East of India.

A little stickles and some sticky pearls and gems.

The perfect blend.....

One of my good friends husbands asked me to make a
card for her recently.
He recons her favourite occupation is drinking coffee!!

So I tried to inject a little romance into the theme.

I have used We R Memory Keepers papers.
Paper pieced with foam pads for dimension.
Also fussy cutting to create embellishments
to tie it all together.

Love apple tree Canvas......Welcome baby Sol

A while back I made a tiny picture using my
love apple tree digi for friends.
I really like the idea with the couples initials carved in the tree
and the kids initials on the apples sitting at the base.

I decided I wanted to try out the same idea for
friends that have just had baby Sol.

This time as a mixed media canvas.

I covered the canvas in old music score.
Painted with a thin layer of gesso as a base.
Then painted with pale acrylics and crackle paint.
Added the clouds which were cut from a WRMK dp.

Love apple tree was coloured with Promarkers and Sakura.
Trunk and branches finished with clear glaze
and the apples had added shimmer glaze.

Pearl liner to edge clouds, stickles to add definition to grass.
Various glitter glazes added to grass and sky, then some
alcohol ink applied with sponge to add definition to sky.

It was alot of fun!

My Diddy Doodlers!

Hope - 4 1/2

I am a very proud Mum - as you know!
But here is a shout out to Hope and Jacob
who are GDT's at Diddy doodles this month!

If you get a chance please pop by their blog
and say hi!

They had very little help with their cards
other than with getting the back off the
double sided ...lol
Of course my stash pile is somewhat reducing!

Jacob even wrote his own post - Way to go Jacob!
