Polka Doodles have it all stitched up

Polka Doodles are looking for stitching in your
project this week.
So I dusted off my needle and thread for my chevron stitches
and a little french knot at Millie's waist.

I have used the very lovely Millie's Birthday by

Emma is having a DT call at the mo
so you have until the 31st August to apply here.

I have used paper and flower from
to create my tag with Emma's lovely image
coloured with Promarkers.

We'd love to see your projects including
stitches over at Polka Doodles this week!

A little bit more felting.....

All the fluffy soft fibres dyed and carded.
This is a mix of Zwartbles, Merino,
Alpaca and Silk.

A bit of elbow grease lots of soap and
alternate hot and cold water.
Voila another piece of felt.....this I hope to use as the greenery on my
felt picture.

A few cards.... on catch up.

Don't know where my time is
going to at the moment.
So thought I better add some cards
that I have made over the last few weeks
so you know I am still
making cards!

I love Mo Manning babies and this was a double sided one
with a cut out frame so baby can be seen
on the inside too!

A fun card for a lady retiring as a classroom assistant
from a private little boys school!

A 30th Birthday ...I am still loving that Marianne die cut
ivy frame and of course the gorgeous
Leanne Ellis image!

Bus Stop Toy Shop raising money for CHAS

In Duncan's own words:

BIG NEWS: I'm excited to announce that on the 1st to 3rd of August, Ben Miller, Duncan Conner, Sean McFarlane (all United Kingdom) and Christian Olsson (Sweden) will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Playing a Boardgame, at Bus Stop Toy Shop, Largs, Scotland. The current World Record stands at a smidgen under 54 hours - jeeps that's a long time - but we're all gunning to go past that mark.

And for my part - Claire that is...........I am off to do a witness shift 7am - 11am this morning at the

Bus Stop Toy Shop

Where they are raising money for CHAS

(Children's Hospice Association Scotland). It costs £7M every year to do the vital work they do - perhaps we can put a tiny dent in that for this year?

Step 2 Felted picture......

Next I trimmed 3 of the felted cloth edges straight
to give me some extra pieces of felt fabric.

I used this to create 3 felt flowers.
Two with stamens in the centres.
