Sea plane.....Custom order and table cloths

We had a lovely visit from Reuben's Dad and Jennie

at the weekend all the way from Somerset.

Reuben and Douglas went on a fab trip on a sea plane

out of Loch Lommond.

It was a perfect day for it.

Woolfest ...only 5 weeks and 5 days to go!

Yep I need to get my skates on in preparation!

I can't believe its been a year since I visited Woolfest as a customer

with Vicky, Rita (and John Rita's husband)

and in 5 weeks and 5 days we will be there exhibiting.

We are all so excited!

There are even some visitors of the fleecy / hairy / furry kind!

Today I'd like to share some lovely work by

Carol Rogers in Devon.

I am lucky enough that this gorgeous seahorse picture lives in my

studio and keeps me company every day!

Carols attention to detail is wonderful and the mix 

of textures and colour

is just perfect.

This wonderful mermaids purse also lives along with me in my studio.

Shauna and her fabulous felting!

A few weeks ago I showed some great felt that Shauna 

had made with me one afternoon.

She transformed her fabulous felt into a picture!

Mounted the felt on a canvas - attached with brads.

Created beaded dragonflies and added a felt flower and

some greenery.

A really great project for a first time felter!

Hope's mermaid

I found Hope's mermaid hiding in her bag

so managed to get a picture before it went to school!

She had a little help but did most of it herself.

Holiday weekend and dying drying on the line

Kids have been on a holiday weekend

and Jacob and Caleb made the pictures above

using hand dyed felt, wool blanket,

silk fabric, silk thread and beads.

Hope had taken her's to school to give to her teacher,

Mrs Fox is a big hit with our Hope!

Below back to work today and I've been dying wool pre-felt

but also bamboo wadding and

cotton/soya wadding - just wonderful fabrics!

SAFAS of NAFAS at Chelsea Flower show

I have been dying up some fibres for the lovely ladies at SAFAS.

SAFAS is the Scottish branch of NAFAS

National Association of Flower Arranger Societies.

They are doing an underwater themed display

at Chelsea Flower show this year.......

how exciting!

I can't wait to see the finished display.
