OSAAT and new release

My new release this week at Stitchy Bear Store is

Cherry Tree Tower

another in the candyfloss tree style

but with some delicious cherries to eat!

I am also stepping in for cover at OSAAT

this week where the challenge is

to use shapes in you project -

I have gone for my favourite circular easel card.

Using the very cute Yin & Yang

by Purple Panda designs.

I have paperpieced using Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby range

and a little doodling.

I added a circle of little pandas to the inside of the card.

Polkadoodles - Vintage

This week over at Polka Doodles Fliss

has challenged us to go vintage!

Fliss is a dab hand herself at this but I have to say

I felt a bit ignorant and went in search of some blogging inspiration.....

I have used imagery from All around and Everywhere CD

combined with some inking, grungeboard flourish,

screw head brad, rub on sentiment and a little faux stitching.

I have coloured the deer with some

of the lovely Aquamarkers from Letraset!

Many of the girls I know in blogland create fabulous

Vintage style projects but while reasearching I

came across the work of

Wendy Vecchi

some really amazing pieces of work.

Anyhow Blogland is a fantastic place to inspire

it's great to take time out and have a wander...

We still have our fantastic colouring competition

 on the go at Polkadoodles.

Perhaps you could combine the two

and add some colouring to your vintage project?

Polkadoodles - Printing on Vellum/Acetate

printed Vellum or Acetate this week at

Polka Doodles - I went for Vellum!

My first attempt with Aquamarkers from Letraset.

I love them, used a mixed technique of pens direct to image

and also applied to acrylic block then

lifted with a wet brush.

I have used imagery from the

All around and Everywhere Cd.
