Everybody - Art - Challenge - Easel cards - Polkadoodles

As promised two of the cards I made using the wonderful new
Paper boutique CD from Polkadoodles-
As shown on Create and Craft yesterday!

I would like to enter these into the Everybody Art Challenge.
They are looking for easel cards - so I thought these round easel cards would be ideal!

Polkadoodles Challenge - A shaped card

Very appropriately the DT were challenged by Lou to create a
shaped card this week at Polkadoodles!
Paper Boutique previewed on Create and Craft Yesterday and
I have to say it is a wonderful collection of crafting digital goodies!

I have used Funky Munky for my card and pretty much built it as an
easy version (not the maximum layers) of the decoupage on the CD.

Just added flocking to the cute monkey and
heat embossed the banana and foliage.
The backs are as cute as the fronts of these cards!

I hope you manage to see the CD being showed yesterday but if not have no fear I have several projects to share with you over the weekend.

Crafty Creations DT project - stitching

This week our challenge at Crafty Creations was to use some sort of stitching!
I have used the lovely love bird image supplied to the DT this week from

To create my decoration on Shrink plastic - I traced the image and coloured with Sakura, then added holes around edge of plastic with my crop-a-dile before shrinking. I then stitched beads around edge with some silver wire and created a heart at top and bottom!

We'd love to see your new creation encorporating stitching over at Crafty Creations

Wedding Horseshoe

It is my best friend Margaret Anne's Wedding this Saturday to
The wonderful Ross...

May not be round alot as still lots of things to do for it! I have had to find another outfit as the one I ordered a wonderful chocolate silk velvet trouser suit eventually arrived - only to discover they sent me a black dress.......disappointed isn't the word!

Anyway finnished the horseshoe last night for Hope to give M-A.
She is getting married in a deep red dress and you may remember the cards are a snowdrop theme.
I made the horseshoe with glass beads, some fancy fibres, mulberry paper snowdrops and there are silver charms attached - you don't seem to see them in photos.
Tied with ribbon to match dress.

DT card Polkadoodles Challenge - hearts and flowers

Another round easel card for Polkadoodles this week!
Love is being with you.....I am getting into the whole valentine thingy at the mo....

Decided this design would work well on another round easel card. Using that wonderful owl design from Polkadoodles Love and Cherish CD. Also alphas and flowers are from the CD as well.
Both the alphas and the flowers I printed onto papers from the Cd before cutting them out.
Just added a little doodling and some heart brads to centres of flowers.

Psst! Nikki is working on a new CD and we have just had the first samples to work with....its very good - very, very good.....watch this space!

C.R.A.F.T. DT card - Digi colouring challenge

Digital Delights are this weeks sponsor at C.R.A.F.T.!
I have used Penelope Pegasus on my card.
I decided to give my copics a well earned rest for this one!
I have heat embossed the outlines on Penelope and then coloured with H2O's.
My background and clouds are created with bubble painting. The clouds I then drew with Sakura silver shadows and cut out, sticking with foam pads for a little depth.
Sentiment also written with Sakura shadow but the gold version.

The lucky winner will recieve a voucher for Digital Delights -

just have your new project featuring digi colouring with Mr Linky by 8p.m. on Wed 10th February!

Polkadoodles.....and I get to choose!

Yes I get to choose the challenge at Polkadoodles this week!
My choice was paper piecing  - I love it!!
Nikki (boss lady) has some fab digital paperpiecing on her CD's but I thought it would be fun for a bit of old fashioned cutting and sticking....

All the elements I have used are from the new Love and Cherish CD - these birds are so sweet!
I also love the flower patterns and have simply printed these on to some of the patterned papers and cut then layered them.
A little inking to edges and then some gems to finnish off.

Pop by Polkadoodles  - join in - Polkadoodles goodies could be yours!
