On our holidays....and some felted flowers!

We have just got back from visiting Reuben's
Dad and Step-mum in Somerset.

We had a day out at Lyme Regis above
perfect weather and lovely and quiet as it wasn't
holiday time there this week.

The kids had a great time at the pottery.

Reuben's dad is a potter in a lovely village
called Queen Camel
If you fancy a wee look- I've put a link here.

I'm not good at taking a complete break from my routine
so smuggled away some hand dyed fibres
and my needle felting bits to make some
embellishments while I was away.

Reuben's dad and Jennie with the kids
down the garden.

We also discovered before the holiday that Caleb has another
nerve related problem this time with his eyes.

I think he chose well!

  1. Hi Claire

You all look as though you've had a wonderful time in Somerset, a gorgeous part of the world and quite a journey for you. You've been so lucky with the weather too, perfect Autumn sunshine. It must've been nice to have the place to yourselves as our half term is the week after next, very late this year.
Caleb looks so handsome in his new glasses and very grown up. DD has been wearing them for a couple of years now, hardly surprising as we both do but she loves her flashy frames, not like the NHS specs we had as kids!!!!
It sounds like you are making some good progress with him, he certainly looks a happy chappie on his hols. I hope it continues.
    Have a safe journey home.
    Hugs Lisax
Love the felting embellies by the way.
