A good days work....separating those lovely mohair locks

Once I have dyed a batch of lovely fluffy stuff
in this case Somerset Mohair
I like to separate out the individual locks.
This lot took approx 4hrs with a break for the Mentalist.
I am a bit of a CSI/Mentalist/Borgen etc fan!

Individual locks are fabulous to use in felt making,
hoping to have a play this afternoon with my new toy
so I may have something to share tomorrow.

Locks are still drying and there is some lovely fluffy
mohair left into the bargain.
Good job done!

  2. These all look gorgeous Claire and the colours are stunning.
Not with you on the American detective shows I'm afraid! Big fan of the Brit ones here (Lewis etc)!

  3. I bet that's a task and a half, I didn't know you had to separate them. Felting is another world to me. A bit like sewing really. I've finished my quilts....at last, not a fan of the sewing machine really but I was determined to finish them, it's such a great cause. Anyway, the sewing machine has gone back into the cupboard and I've spent a lovely day with my paints while DD has gone to Grandma's for the weekend!! We've had a lovely half term, thanks. The weather was so lovely for the first half and despite the cold returning we still enjoyed getting out and about.
Hope you are having a good weekend despite the cold.
