New range for shop....Bark.....

While Hope was creating her wonderful colourful piece yesterday,

I was making bark.

What a great Sunday!

Hope and I got a chance to do some felting.

(I should say Hope is now almost 7, 

I am having a problem changing my profile)

She decided she was going to help me and

then thought it would be good to make a piece herself.

She chose all her ingredients from the studio

(I did cut the hearts)

and laid out her piece.

She likes the rolling pin

and was very patient rolling and turning.

and of course you have to have the

hands on approach.

It's a lovely soft piece of felt to take in for

show and tell tomorrow.

And then there's a touch of sparkle.....

the sparkle range are combinations of Shetland and Merino.

as our custom blends arrived at last!

We did track the poor delivery van man "Chris"

round Largs for 10 of his deliveries before us.

Yes he did look slightly concerned when we told 

him we'd been keeping a close eye on him.

But the wait was oh so worth it.....

My favourite above is Pebble peace.

It's tussah silk/flax/baby alpaca and merino.......

Scarf base lengths

Something new this week 

in the Ebay store

is hand dyed Merino and silk

pre felt scarf based lengths.

Great to wet felt into or embellish with needle felting.

Wonderful soft 80% 19.5 mic merino and 20% silk

so fine almost cobweb like in areas.

Working on some new ingredients for my packs......

Over the last few weeks I have been working on some new

ideas to include in my creativity and felting packs.

Hand made pre felt combining hand dyed wool 

fibres with silk...this is really lovely.

the blue piece is roving felted with several silk hankies.

Hand made pre felt from hand dyed fibres made into a batt.

This has a base of wonderful fawn suri alpaca.

There are more new things to come!

Just perfect! Feeling very excited about being home 

and loads of new ideas in my head......

Starting to get organized for our holiday.

We are all very excited to be heading off to

Melfort Village

in Oban on Saturday for a much needed family break.

We have never stayed here before but it looks lovely and

the kids are really excited as there is a small

swimming pool onsite and some other activities.

Will put shops on holiday mode

 and send paid orders out Saturday morning 

before we head off.

The kids are now off for two weeks for Easter Holidays

Woolfest 2014....10 year celebration!

We are thrilled to have been accepted to show at 

Woolfest 2014.

It's their 10th Anniversary show this year.

I have been sorting our advert for this years programme.

We head off on holiday next weekend so trying to get a bit organized.

Woolfest 2014

is the 27th and 28th June at Cockermouth in Cumbria

and with less than 12 weeks to go we are starting to make up all the 

display elements for our stand and of course new ideas for

packs to sell.......

It's minion Vicky's birthday today......

Big Birthday hugs as she is at her other job(teaching)

today so we celebrated yesterday.

This is the necklace I made her and we had cake!

I would be lost without the minions (Vicky and Rita)

We have such fun picking and packing orders

and all the creative parts in between!
