Busy Busy - lots of weddings......a wee catch up

I seem to be really busy with Wedding cards at the moment.
This first one uses my Wedding Horseshoe image.
I really love some of the Prima Papers
and that fabulous ribbon.

I adore this birdcage image by

New Home card for Haylie using my
Great fun acrylic key coloured with alcohol inks
and tied into gorgeous velvet ribbon.

Another Wedding card using my Heart Flourish image
and again Prima Papers.

Caleb was back at Yorkhill yesterday.
The good news is there is no nerve damage from his spine
although his body is acting as if there is a problem with the nerve supply.
They are trying some new medication that hopefully
overtime will increase the sensation he has.

School photo's.....how they grow!

It makes me laugh that I took Hope to my friends house to
get her hair into a french pleat on the morning of her school photo!
A really good scratch of the head a wee while later
and this is what you get - It's very her!

I am so pleased they have captured Caleb so well
and Jacob, well he's going through a trying to look cool
at the age of 10 look so I am really pleased he at least tried to
smile here! lol

I am a very proud Mum

On our holidays....and some felted flowers!

We have just got back from visiting Reuben's
Dad and Step-mum in Somerset.

We had a day out at Lyme Regis above
perfect weather and lovely and quiet as it wasn't
holiday time there this week.

The kids had a great time at the pottery.

Reuben's dad is a potter in a lovely village
called Queen Camel
If you fancy a wee look- I've put a link here.

I'm not good at taking a complete break from my routine
so smuggled away some hand dyed fibres
and my needle felting bits to make some
embellishments while I was away.

Reuben's dad and Jennie with the kids
down the garden.

We also discovered before the holiday that Caleb has another
nerve related problem this time with his eyes.

I think he chose well!

More felting......

Hi ho Hi ho it's off to felt we go!

I am now having a wee textile class once a week
and this week we were making the bases for some
Felted cushions!

Merino, Hand dyed silk and BFL
I love this Kelp like effect with warm gold shades.

This is just so soft a Merino  and hand dyed silk mix.
Looks quite bulky but in fact is very light weight.

Peacock or what!
Merino, Hand dyed silk and hand dyed Alpaca
has to be my favourite colour combo!

Ooooo I do like a little bit of felting!

More fun felt scarves....the composition a better mix now!

Hand dyed Bluefaced Leicester, Merino, silk and alpaca.

I love the BFL locks then needle felted as a fringe.

This one was for my Mum's birthday yesterday!

My model Hope ...... and my latest project

Hope does like to pose for the camera
unlike her Mum!

This is my first attempt at a felted scarf.
Combining wet felting and Needle felting.

I hand dyed the Wensleydale, silk, Bluefaced Leicester
and Alpaca myself.

I really love the colours but need to make a
slightly softer mix....even I admit it's a wee
bit itchy scratchy..... merino or perhaps
more alpaca would be a good combo.

I'd like to share it with
